Access data delivery portal (delivery portals)

Creating a delivery portal account

The delivery portals can be created in the Admin, in the category "Store" --> at the category subitem "Stores" --> at the yellow "key icon" button "Access data delivery portal" --> at the dark green button top right "ADD DELIVERY PORTAL ACCOUNT".

If you have any questions or if errors occur, please contact us: https://support.simplydelivery.de/portal/en/newticket.

Interface to "takeaway.com" ("Lieferando")

With our interface you have the possibility to communicate the delivery times set in SIDES to "Lieferando" and therefore also to the end customer. Likewise, the orders from the delivery portal through the account will appear in the order overview in the admin and POS.
You can create and manage the delivery portal accounts yourself or let us help you.

The creation of the account depends mainly on the following settings (the number/type of settings and which/how much data needs to be specified depends on the type of delivery portal account - more detailed explanations of the individual options are available directly in the Admin).

Settings:
Type of delivery portal: takeaway.com

Active: "Yes". If "No" is enabled here (whether in the delivery portal account settings or via the delivery portal account overview), orders from this delivery portal for this store will not appear in the order overview in the admin or POS.

Delivery portal account status: This can also be viewed in the delivery portal account overview.

Restaurant ID: You get this from Lieferando. Usually the customer number is used here. (1. In case of some delivery portal account types of other providers, the ID is generated automatically and cannot be changed later on. 2. In the case of some delivery portal account types, no "Restaurant ID" has to be entered here, but an "API Key").
Ignore article numbers: If this option is activated, the matching will NOT take place based on the numbers, but on the article name. In the menu item "Articles" --> "Portal articles" the matching has to be checked manually.
The other options are optional.

Once the account has been created, the delivery portal account overview will show "valid". If an account is marked as "invalid", you should check the data again and even if the data is correct, save the account again. If the error persists or occurs later on its own, or if you have any questions about delivery portal accounts, please contact us.

An important note: Stores must always be logged into the POS interface so that orders go through. Lieferando sends a ping to us to check if the store is online. If you are not logged in, the orders will not be transmitted.

Regarding expected Lieferando orders delivery times:
YES, we at SIDES return delivery times with every portal order. NO, Lieferando does NOT use this data provided by us to display delivery times on their website. See the following statement from Lieferando: "The time displayed there under each restaurant is the average delivery time that the consumer can enter when rating the order. The average is drawn 1x per day from the last 5 ratings."

Additional info for using "WOLT"

Settings:
Type of delivery portal: wolt.com

API User name: Username (for article push / menu sync (coming soon))

API Password: Password (for article push / menu sync (coming soon))

Restaurant ID: aka vendorID, available from WOLT

Merchant API Key: API Key, available from WOLT

Delivery by:
WOLT: Orders from "WOLT" are forwarded as pre-orders for pickup, as either the customer picks up the order or a "WOLT" driver does. The delivery fee is always not transmitted, as it also does not appear on the "Wolt" receipt.
Own delivery: Delivery orders appear as delivery; pickup orders appear as pickup.

Note: WOLT does not explicitly transmit the postal code. An automated function determines this, but it is not 100% reliable. The postal code, together with all transmitted address information, can be found in the "Floor" field in every order.

Overview of the delivery portal accounts

In the accounts overview you have different buttons.

Show error messages: The yellow lightning bolt icon button "Show error messages" contains an error log. If orders do not arrive at the store, you can look here to see why they did not go through.

Edit: The light green pencil icon button "Edit" is used to be able to edit the settings again.

Delete: The red 'X' icon button "Delete" is used to delete the account.

Deactivate/Activate: The orange closed lock icon button "Deactivate" is for deactivating the account, or the gray open lock icon button "Activate" is for activating the account.

Via the magnifying glass view of each portal order in the order overview, you can see what data has been transmitted via the SIDES token and the info button behind it (i-symbol button).

The delivery portals do not have the option that proper menus can be created there. There, the main products in the menus are usually created as toppings. In the past, this resulted in menus from the delivery portals not being processed properly in SIDES.
We have developed an extension to portal item matching (Admin: Items > Portal articles) where these main products can be recognized. The items following the main item are handled as an associated topping until a next main item is submitted. The functionality is highly dependent on the creation of the menus at the delivery portals.

Since the function must be activated in the settings of the delivery portals, we would like to ask you to contact us. We will then activate it for you.
