Allergens

What
Allergenic substances can be added to a product to inform customers about possible allergens.

Where
Admin: Item > Allergens > Add allergen.

1. Add allergen

In the Admin, click on Item > Allergens > Add allergen to create a new allergen and specify the name.
An allergen list entry can be subsequently edited using the "Edit" button.
The order in which they appear on the item can be defined using drag & drop.

2. Activate allergen

The allergens will be activated directly in the item at Admin: Item > Item > Edit > Nutrition (however, this is only possible here if the item property "Ingredient" is set to "Yes" in the first tab "Item").

3. Nutritional information settings

However, the "Nutrition" tab is only available if the "Assign nutritional values to item" setting has been activated.
This can be activated at Admin: Store > Global store settings > Other settings > Master data settings for items, goods management and accounting > Assign nutritional values to item > Yes.
  1. If activated, the nutritional values, additives and allergens are maintained directly for the item (Admin: Item > Item > Edit > Nutrition). The information is then added up across all recipes (Admin: Item > Recipes).
  2. If deactivated, the information is entered at the top recipe of the item (Admin: Item > Item > Edit > "Recipe" tab, as well as Admin: Item > Recipes). If an item does not have a recipe, the nutritional values are always entered with the item.

The setting "Show nutritional values" must also be set to "Yes".

The same conditions and steps/processes also apply to the nutritional values and additives and ingredients.
(Admin: Item > Nutrition and Admin: Item > Additives/ingredients).

Allergens, nutritional values and additives and ingredients are then displayed in the webshop, among other things.
