Banners / Recommendations

In the Admin, banners or recommendations can be created for the webshop to point out certain promotions or products.

The fields for this, must be created in the webshop by us, so the use of banners is only possible for individual webshops (for normal webshops, these settings are also visible in the admin, but have no effect).

Further below is described how such a banner can be created for individual webshops.

Example banner:

To create a banner for individual webshops, first click on the dark green button "ADD BANNER" in the upper left corner.
Then you can
- enter the name for the banner,
- determine the textual content,
- select the stores in which the banner will be displayed,
- decide whether the banner should be displayed in the shopping cart or not,
- decide which merchandise group(s) the banner should apply to, i.e. where it should be displayed,
- set a time-limited validity.
It is recommended to use the following values/dimensions for an image, so that a banner looks reasonable in the webshop:
Width: 2000px
Height: 500px
Resolution: 72dpi

Alternatively you can also create

- a permanent "product group slider", where there are also some additional settings like a field for a link etc.

or

- create a recommendation for one or more specific articles, which recommends the customer these just then just under or optionally additionally also still in the Warenkorb

select and create.

Commodity group-Slider:

In the webshop the headline image (corresponds to banner/merchandise group slider ]at "Incentives" in the admin] / standard merchandise group image [see "Webshop settings" in the admin]) to populate with a video is theoretically possible, but it is not recommended, because this potentially does not work with some webshops or can lead to problems. So you should limit yourself to image files like .jpg, .png or .gif.

If you still want to embed a video here, the following points must be considered:

- The integration is only possible with an individually from SimplyDelivery set up store by a developer (so not by the user himself in the admin at "Webshop Settings" or similar). Therefore, our support must be contacted.

- For this we need either a Youtube video (autoplay works only in 60% of the cases) or a video in one of the following three formats = OGG/WEBM/MP4 from the customer. This should then have at least the dimensions of the standard image banner (see above).
