Setting up CashGuard (cash terminal) with SdStore app

Installation of the SdStore app

The SdStore app is currently available as a ZIP file under the following links  (an installer is in progress):

Version 1.2.5

It is loaded and e.g. unpacked on the desktop. At the first start, a security warning is displayed that the app comes from an unknown developer, that the file is dangerous, or the download website may be hacked. This must be confirmed/ignored/clicked (with the installer should do this).
The app starts with a double click on "sd_storeapp.exe" located in the unpacked folder.

If the start is not possible and an error message indicating missing libraries appears, these may have to be loaded and installed at https://sd-storeapp.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/VC_redist.x64.exe.

The SdStore app starts with the dashboard view.

Setup CashGuard

CashGuard is set up in the SdStore app. About the button "Configure" opens the CashGuard configuring form.

By clicking on "Configure", opens a window.

The access data will be added there:
  1. Server
  2. Port
  3. Username
  4. Password
And confirmed with "Apply".
The access data is available from the provider/technician who set up CashGuard on the local PC.

Subsequently, a new device is created via the button "Creating new device".

A window opens in which the cID itself can be chosen.
Then click on "Create device".

Afterwards, the terminal link can be copied to the clipboard using the "Copy" button.

Setup in the Admin

Now CashGuard can be created in the Admin unter "Admin" --> "Hardware & System" --> "Payment terminal" --> "Add terminal".

The following fields are important:

Payment service
Select "easyZVT CashGuard".
Description
A description is entered here. This is displayed to the user during selection.
Terminal ID
The previously copied terminal ID is entered here.
Payment types
Here, the switch at "Cash terminal (cash payment)" is set to "Yes".

It is necessary to remember to activate the payment type "Cash terminal (cash payment)" in the category "Store" --> at the category subitem "Stores" --> at the light green "pencil icon" button "edit" on the right side at a store list entry --> at the tab "Payment types":

After that, the payment terminal "CashGuard" is available in the POS:

Configuration of strict deposit for CashGuard

It is possible to activate a strict deposit for CashGuard so that the driver must deposit the entire amount of money at once and does not have the option of entering an individual amount to ensure proper accounting.

1. Configuration in the administration

To activate "Strict deposit" for the CashGuard terminal, go through the following steps:

1. Navigate to the configuration menu to Admin: Hardware & System > Payment Terminals.

2. Select the desired payment terminal from the list and click on "Edit" or add a new one with "Add terminal".

3. Set the "Payment service provider" to "easyZVT | CashGuard".

4. Select the cash register to which the terminal is connected under "Cash register binding".

5. To display the "Strict deposit" option, first set the "Cash terminal (cash payment)" payment type to "Yes". The fields for "Strict deposit" then appear.

6. The option "Strict deposit of drivers' cash balance" can now be activated. There are two deposit criteria for this:
  1. Option 1: "If activated, the unpaid cash balance of the already delivered orders must be deposited".
This means that the cash amount not yet deposited from orders that have already been delivered must be deposited in full.
  2. Option 2: "If activated, depositing the change is also required".
This means that in addition to the cash balance, the change must also be deposited.
7. Then click on "Save".

2. Effects of the "Strict deposit" on the payment category

As soon as a deposit has been made for an order, the payment type of the order is automatically set to "Cash terminal".
This ensures that all cash deposits are booked and tracked correctly.
