Assign for the delivery portal account a different e-mail template/e-mail address

What
For some delivery portal accounts, e.g. "SD Ordertransmission", order confirmation emails can be sent to the customer using a different email template and, if required, a different email address.

Where
Admin: Store > E-Mail templates > Add template.
Admin: Store > Delivery portal account > e.g. "SD Ordertransmission" > Send order confirmation > Yes

Introduction

You can create different email templates and assign them to different sources. For each "SD Ordertransmission" connection and some other delivery portal accounts, you can then select the appropriate template and enter a different email address if necessary.
However, this function is not available on all delivery portals.

Example of a ghost kitchen with "SD Ordertransmission":
  1. The customer orders from Pizza-A, and the order is processed internally via "SD Ordertransmission" from Pizza-A to Pizza-B.
    1. Without the email template assignment: Pizza-A sends the order confirmation email to the customer.
    2. With the email template assignment: Pizza-B can send the order confirmation email to the customer using the email template and, if desired, Pizza-B's email address.
To set up the assignment, proceed as follows.

1. Create a new email template

  1. Navigate to Admin: Store > E-Mail templates.
  2. Click on “Add template“.

2. Configure email template settings

  1. Active: Set this option to "Yes" to activate the template.

  2. Purpose: Select an existing template as a basis and click "Load default template".

  3. For delivery portals: Select "Yes" to use this template for delivery portals, including "SD Ordertransmission", to activate.

  4. Name and Description: Enter a name and description to internally distinguish the different templates.

  5. Subject: Enter the subject line for the email.

  6. Template: Customize the email content to suit your needs.

After you have configured these settings, click "Save" to complete the email template.

3. Assign template to a delivery portal account

  1. Navigate to Admin: Store > Delivery Portal Accounts and select the delivery portal account to which you want to assign the new template and click on "Edit".

  2. In the account settings, set the switch "Send order confirmation" on "Yes".

  3. Fill out the following information:

    1. Sender: Enter the email address you want to appear as the sender. If left blank, the default email address from the store settings (so from Pizza-B) will be used (using information from the current store location).

    2. Order confirmation delivery: Select the new email template you created.

When you are finished, press "Save" and test the template.

Important Considerations

  1. The shop that received the order from the "SD Ordertransmission" (in our example, Pizza-B) will now send confirmation emails based on the new template.

  2. Make sure to disable email notifications from the original store (Pizza-A in our example) to avoid sending duplicate confirmation emails to customers for the same order.

If you use the function for "SD Ordertransmission", please contact our support to have it activated. Please note that the function is not available on all delivery portals, but can be set on some.
