Driver terminal

Driver terminal

We recommend that you use a incognito tab if you open the driver terminal on the same computer as the cash register, otherwise this may cause problems.

The driver terminal fulfills two functions. Firstly, it serves as a tool for your staff to record their working hours, regardless of their function in the company. However, it is mainly intended for drivers to assign delivery order tours and determine the best route, as well as for a supervisor or similar to check the drivers' driving times during and after driven tours.

The driver terminal can also be used well together with the "tour planning".

Start tour

There are two ways to log in to the terminal: By entering the personnel number or by scanning the personnel barcode, which can be created in the employee file. For this purpose, the number field can be shown or hidden. After logging in, the employee selects the role in which he/she works. If the employee has more than one position in the company, then they will be displayed. Please note: If the employee has different payments for different positions, this may affect the payroll.

Tour assignment

You can see the open tours on the map after logging in, as well as in the list on the left. The color marking in the list indicates whether the delivery is still within the communicated delivery period or not. To select a tour, it is enough to click on it in the list or scan the barcode on the kitchen receipt.

Several tours can be assigned to one driver. If recommended distances are set for the vehicles, the driver terminal may suggest changing the vehicle. By clicking on Route, the route of the selected tour will be calculated. Clicking Start tour starts the delivery. The driver is logged out and the overview shows when the driver is expected to return.

If you have activated the option for tour blocks in your store settings, these will also appear here in the terminal and can be assigned to drivers.

Return from a tour

After the export has been completed, the driver must log back in. To do this, he must log back in with his personnel number or barcode. The tour is then declared as completed. In the driver accounting you get an overview from which tours the driver returned late and from which he appeared conspicuously early. Upon his return, the driver can, if necessary, change the payment method to another or partial payment.

Controls
The function of the various buttons is briefly explained below:

Break
At the click of a button, the employee goes on break, which is noted in the payroll.

Shift end
Click to end the employee's shift. The payroll is generated.

Change vehicle/inventory
The employee changes the vehicle or inventory. He can only select vehicles/inventory that have not yet been assigned.

Tour overview
Here the employee gets an overview of his tours. By clicking on the button with the "X", the tour is released again. Another employee can then assign the tour.

Back
This button leads back to the login screen.

Payroll

To settle the driver or office staff, click on the End shift button. You will receive a short summary, and a detailed driver payroll will also be printed.

If you need to look at a detailed evaluation again, you can find it on the dashboard of the cash register under the item Personnel. Just click on the magnifying glass. If you need to adjust the working time of the employee, for example, because he forgot to log out for the break, you can do this under the item Accounting " Employee payroll in the administration.
