Installation instructions
Introduction
In order to process card payments from the POS via a hardware terminal, additional software components are necessary, as the POS cannot directly access the user's hardware or network for security reasons.
The easyZVT software is used to control the many different payment devices/card terminals on the market, the easyZVT software is used, which must be purchased and licensed separately.
The connection between POS and easyZVT is again realized by our SdStore app.
Requirements
System
PC running Windows 8 or higher.
Payment device
The payment device should be connected and set up via LAN (network) via a service provider (payment provider, bank, etc.). In particular, the service provider has the followingSettingson the device:
Cash register | Zvt/zvt700 |
Cash register interface | Tcp/ip |
Subsequently, the IP address and the TCP port of the payer should be noted for the following steps. These can usually be retrieved via a menu on the device or a status expression.
easyZVT license
To be purchased by order to easyzvt@groetzner.de stating the 8-digit "TID" (Terminal ID). This is often mounted on the device itself. You can also view it with the SdStore app. More about this below.
Installation easyZVT
Tested with the EasyZVT 3.0 ClickOnce (.NET 4.7.2) version with automatic update function. To install this version, open the page with the Microsoft Edge browser, click on the corresponding link and follow the instructions.
After installation, it is important to start and finish easyZVT once again.
A connection error or similar may be displayed as in the screenshot. This can be ignored at this time. It is only important that EasyZVT was started once before proceeding.
Installation of the SdStore app
The SdStore app is currently available as a ZIP file under the following links (an installer is in progress):
It is loaded and e.g. unpacked on the desktop. At the first start, a security warning is displayed that the app comes from an unknown developer, that the file is dangerous, or the download website may be hacked. This must be confirmed/ignored/clicked (with the installer should do this).
The app starts with a double click on "sd_storeapp.exe" located in the unpacked folder.
Configuration of the SdStore app
The SdStore app starts with the dashboard view. The tiles easyZVT, CashGuard and POS display the state of the system and should be green.
The easyZVT tile should already appear green after easyZVT has been installed. If this is not the case, check this first.
Via the button with the 3 strokes at the top left of the logo, you enter the configuration menu. First, the payment device is under "Payment-Terminals".
You can also access this area by clicking the "Manage terminals" button in the Dashboard's Cashier tile.
The "Create new terminal" button opens the form for creating a new payment terminal.
The following fields are important:
COM | Here should usually "LAN" be selected.
|
IP address | IP address of the payment device. See above in section "Requirements". The IP address must be entered without leading zeros, e.g. "10.0.1.2" and not "010.000.001.002".
|
Port | TCP port number of the payment device. See above in section "Requirements". |
Cash register number | Even if there is only one cash register, a number must be entered here. So e.g. the "1". |
In the text fields, it is necessary to complete the entry with the "Enter" keyboard key. Only then will the value be accepted.
Test Payment
After you have created the terminal, you should make a test payment to test the configuration. You can also cancel the process on the payment device itself so as not to make a real payment. It is only a question of whether the payment device works at all. Click on the green "Test" button and follow the instructions:
Next, a window opens to test the payment terminal. If everything works correctly, the payment device should prompt the user to insert a card.
If this does not occur, the error message/notification output in the EasyZVT window should be observed, if necessary, to narrow down the error.
Often it is due to the IP address or the configuration of the payment device itself.
If the test has worked, the URL/ID of the terminal for configuration should be copied in the next section. This can be done via the button "Copy"
License code and TID
If the test is successful, the terminal ID (TID) can be determined in the SdStore app. The TID is required to purchase an easyZVT license code, which must then also be entered in the SdStore app.
Via the "Menu" --> "EasyZVT" one gets into the easyZVT registry/administration.
After the test payment has been made, the "TID" can be found in the "Output" tab. It can be copied by a click.
The purchased license code must be placed in the tab "Input Parameters" under "License" to be entered/inserted:
Configuration in the admin
In the admin, make sure that a printer is created for the corresponding store ("Admin" --> "Hardware & System" --> "Printer").
Furthermore, a template for payment terminal receipts must be set for this printer:
It must be remembered in category "Store" at the category subpoint "Stores" with the light green "pen symbol" button "edit" right of a Storelist entry at the tab "Payment type" the payment method"EC Terminal" or "EC terminal (card payment)" to activate:
Now the terminal can be created under "Hardware & System" --> "Payment terminals".
In the field "Terminal ID" must insert the terminal ID/URL of the terminal copied from the SdStore app.
Now the payment type "card payment" should be available in the POS, e.g. in counter sales.
