Where
Admin: Incentives > Loyalty settings > Customer account required to receive loyalty points. Admin: Store > Stores > Edit > Payment type > Cash terminal. Admin: Store > Global store settings > Payment types > Cash terminal > Edit > Available in the self-service terminal. Admin: Store > Stores > Edit > Self-service terminal > Allow customer login + Process paid orders immediately. |
These instructions show you how to configure the admin interface so that customers can redeem their loyalty points at the self-service terminal (SOT). The procedure for the customer is also described.
Configuration for redeeming loyalty points at the self-service terminal
For the redemption of loyalty points at the SOT to work, this must first be configured in the Admin.
1. Customer account for loyalty points
For the pop-up window for redeeming loyalty points to be displayed at the self-service terminal, the option "Customer account required to receive loyalty points" must be deactivated in the loyalty points settings.
Procedure:
Navigate to Admin: Incentives > Loyalty settings.
Deactivate the setting "Customer account required to receive loyalty points".
Confirm the change with "Save".

2. Activate cash terminal in the store settings
The "Cash terminal" option is activated in the store settings for payment methods.
The background to this is that orders that are partially paid for with loyalty points may only be completed using certain payment methods. However, these payment methods are only available if a corresponding terminal exists, is active and has possibly been assigned to a specific cash register or location.
Procedure:
Navigate to Admin: Store > Stores > Edit > Payment type.
Activate the "Cash terminal" option and set it to "Yes" (you may have to scroll down a long way).
Go to the bottom of the page and click on "Save".

3. Check cash terminal for the self-service terminal
For the pop-up window for redeeming loyalty points to be displayed, check whether the "Cash terminal" payment type is activated for the self-service terminal in the global store settings.
Procedure:
Navigate to Admin: Store > Global store settings > Payment types.
Click on "Edit" for "Cash terminal".
Check whether the "Available in the self-service terminal" option is checked. If this is not the case, activate the option.
Then, click on "Save".
4. Allow customer login at the self-service terminal
To enable the customer to log in at the self-service terminal, the options “Allow customer login” and “Process paid orders immediately” need to be activated in the store settings.
Procedure:
- Navigate to Admin: Store > Stores > Edit > Self-service terminal.
- Activate the option "Allow customer login" and set it to "Yes" so that customers can log in at the self-service terminal.
- Then go to the option "Process paid orders immediately" and also set it to "Yes" to be able to redeem loyalty points.
Procedure for the customer
Once you have configured the above settings in the admin interface, the procedure for the customer follows.
1. Customer login
The customer first logs into his customer account in the webshop. This is the only way he can access the loyalty points and the corresponding code.

2. QR code for loyalty points
After logging in, the customer goes to his "Profile".
For webshop version 1: The customer clicks on "MyCode" in his profile.
For webshop version 2: The customer clicks on "Scan QR code to login" in his profile.
A QR code and a numerical code are then displayed.

3. Enter the QR code at the self-service terminal
At the self-service terminal, customers can now either enter the numerical code from the webshop profile or, if the terminal supports a scan function, scan the QR code.

4. Place an order
The customer selects the desired products at the self-service terminal (SOT) and proceeds to complete the order.
On the order completion page, the customer can see how many loyalty points he will receive for this order.

5. Pop-up window for redeeming loyalty points
After the customer clicks on "Take order", a pop-up window appears in which they have the option of redeeming loyalty points.
Redeem points: If the customer has points and wants to redeem them, he enters the desired number of his available points that he wants to redeem.
Available points: How many loyalty points the customer has available is displayed.
Convert points to amount: The amount that the customer receives when redeeming his points is displayed. In this example: €3.00.
Remaining amount to be paid: The remaining amount shows the amount still to be paid after the loyalty points have been deducted. In this example: €2.99.

6. Completion of the order
Redeem with points: Once the number of available points has been entered, this is confirmed with "Redeem now". The redemption is immediately taken into account in the order.
Do not redeem points: If the customer does not wish to redeem any points, they can close the pop-up window with the "X". The order will then be completed without redeeming the points.
