Adding a loyalty point rule looks e.g. like this:

Explanations of the setting options:

Name of the rule

A name for the rule is entered here. This is used for internal organization and is not visible to customers anywhere.

Application type

The application type to which this rule applies is defined here.

Notes:
  1. If two rules are created for the same items or product groups, which also have the same effect in terms of the time period and store, only one will take effect and the one that gives fewer points will simply be ignored.
  2. However, if a rule is created for articles and/or product groups that also have the same effect in terms of time period and store, such as another rule for the shopping cart, these two rules will have an additive effect.

Item

Items: The loyalty points are used for the items that are selected here.

The section below has further setting options for the items:
Value: the points entered are per item.

Exclusive coupon types: If selected items are part of a voucher type selected here, then no points will be awarded for the items contained therein when a voucher of the corresponding type is used. Product groups with a discount are not taken into account. If the same items are added to the shopping cart as normal, points will still be awarded for them.

Exclude points on items within this menu: If activated for a menu, no loyalty points are awarded on all items within this menu. Upselling points on e.g. topping groups or toppings are still granted.

Commodity group

Commodity group: The loyalty points are used for the commodity groups that are selected here. Multiple selection is possible.

The section below has further setting options for the commodity group:
Value: The points entered are awarded per item in the selected commodity group.

Topping

Topping: The loyalty points are used for the toppings that are selected here. Multiple selection is possible.

The section below has further setting options for each topping:
Value: The points entered are awarded per topping.

Topping groups

Topping groups: The loyalty points are used for the topping groups that are selected here. Multiple selection is possible.

The section below has further setting options for the topping groups:
Value: The points entered are awarded per topping in the selected topping group.

Shopping cart value

Shopping cart value: The points for the shopping cart value are always added to the points for items or commodity groups.

The section below has further setting options for the shopping cart value:
Value: In the "Value" section, you can enter an amount in euros that corresponds to one point. For example: €10 value = 1 point. This means that the customer receives 5 points in addition to their points on the items or commodity groups for a total shopping cart value of €50.

Including redeemed value of goods: If the checkbox is activated, the original shopping cart value is used to award the loyalty points. Not the reduced shopping cart value. The redeemed value of goods applies to redeemed loyalty points, not to vouchers.

For example: The shopping cart value is 10€, if the checkbox "Including redeemed value of goods" is activated and the customer pays the total with loyalty points, he receives 10 loyalty points on the shopping cart value (if 1€ per point is set). If the checkbox "Including redeemed value of goods" is not activated and the customer pays the total with loyalty points, they will receive 0 loyalty points.

Including minimum quantity surcharge: When the checkbox is activated, the loyalty points are also awarded on the minimum quantity surcharge.

Including delivery fee: When the checkbox is activated, the loyalty points are also awarded for the delivery fee.

Account registration

Account registration: These points are credited once upon registration during the validity period.

The section below has further setting options for account registration:
Value: This is where you enter the points that are awarded once when registering during the validity period.

Points can be redeemed immediately: If this checkbox is activated, the points can be redeemed immediately. This overwrites the setting "Hours until points are available"! (Admin: Incentives > Loyalty-Settings > Hours until points are available).

Expiry type: The expiry type of the loyalty points is defined here.

Standard expiry date: The points expire as configured in the settings for the loyalty system (Admin: Incentives > Loyalty-Settings > Validity period of a loyalty point in days).

Expire in (x) days: The points expire after the number entered, the number entered corresponds to the days, e.g. 150, so the points expire after 150 days.

Expire on: Here you can enter a specific date when the points expire. Click on the calendar symbol to open a calendar for easier selection of the corresponding day.

Stores

Stores: The stores to which the rule is to be applied are stored here. If no store is stored for the rule, it counts as deactivated.

Explanation of the additional buttons:
Invert selection: The selection of stores is reversed, i.e. if 2 stores out of 20 are selected, then 18 stores are selected after reversing and the original selection is canceled. The reversed selection is always displayed.

Select all stores: All stores for this rule are selected and displayed under the store selection.

Deselect all stores: All stores are deselected and are no longer active under the store selection.

Notes:
  1. To deactivate the loyalty system completely, it is important to remove the stores under Admin: Incentives > Loyalty-Settings.
  2. In addition, all loyalty points rules must be deactivated.
  3. Customers can still redeem points that they have already received and therefore still have available.
  4. (Only when all points have been redeemed or have expired can the loyalty system be sensibly and easily deactivated completely "permanently" [until the next activation decision] on your instance [by SIDES for you] so that basic settings can be changed).

Incoming order channel

Incoming order channel: Here you can define for which incoming order channels the loyalty points are credited, e.g. in the webshop, in the app, in the checkout.

Incoming order channel refers to the point/interface at which the order is received, e.g. via the webshop or app.

Outgoing order channel

Outgoing order channel: Here you can define for which outgoing order channels the loyalty points are credited, e.g. pickup, delivery, counter sales.

Outgoing order channel refers to how the order leaves the store, e.g. the order is delivered to the customer (delivery) or the customer has called and collects their order (pickup).

Validity (period)

These options can be used in relation to special actions or similar. If these are regular and/or if this regularity is interrupted unexpectedly, the time specifications may have to be adjusted (regularly) or the rule temporarily deactivated.

Validity (period): The period for which the loyalty points are valid can be defined here. Click on the calendar symbol to open a small window with a calendar to make it easier to select the relevant period.

Validity (day)

Validity (day): The respective day or public holiday when the rule is valid can be selected here. The public holidays are added under Admin: Store > Public holidays.

Activate or deactivate

Activate or deactivate: The rule can be activated or deactivated here.
