Release Notes Version 1.2.284 - September 16, 2024

New features

  1. Character limit notice in SMS templates: A note has been added to the SMS template builder to raise awareness that SMS messages longer than 160 characters may be truncated by some providers. Users are encouraged to test this before going live.

  2. Clear browser cache: A new feature in the Restaurant POS app allows users to manually clear the in-app browser cache to reset login credentials.

  3. URL storage option in Restaurant POS app: A new feature has been added in the Restaurant POS app that allows users to permanently save URLs for POS (Point Of Sale) and SOT (Self-Order Terminal). This improvement makes it easier to access and saves time when using the app.

  4. Tap to Pay (TTP) refunds: The Restaurant POS app now supports refunds for payments made through "Tap to Pay" on iPhone. This new feature improves payment processing flexibility and makes it easier to issue refunds directly through mobile payments.

Improvements

  1. Optimization of the user interface: Several minor user interface improvements have been made. This includes fixing an issue where the [F12] button did not respond on the first attempt, as well as correcting the button alignment in the order overview for improved usability.

  2. Improved transaction verification for Tap to Pay: An additional validation step has been added to ensure that the app correctly activates the card reader before starting a Tap to Pay transaction. This adjustment increases the reliability and security of the transactions.

  3. Kitchen monitor and SOT: From now on, the user will automatically remain logged in when using the self-order terminal (SOT) and the kitchen monitor to prevent an automatic logout due to an expired session. This improves user experience and prevents unwanted interruptions.

  4. Optimizing recommendation and language endpoints: Recommendations and supported language endpoints have been optimized to improve system performance and stability.

  5. Terms and Conditions Integration for PayPal V2: The Terms and Conditions (T&C) for the PayPal payment method have been added to the PayPal V2 setup page. Users must now accept the T&C before they can enable PayPal payments.

  6. Cancellation invoices for Wolt orders: Fixed an issue where cancellation invoices and cancellation kitchen receipts were not created when a Wolt order was canceled. This fix ensures that canceled orders are recognized early and are not accidentally processed further in the kitchen.

  7. Kitchen manager and dashboard in the restaurant app: Routing forwarding has been improved to optimize the loading of the Kitchen manager and Dashboard.

Bug fixes

  1. Order status display in the webshop: An issue where order information was displayed incompletely in the webshop has been fixed.

  2. Translations: Fixed an issue where certain terms in the admin interface, such as routing mode labels and images on invoices and kitchen receipts, were not translated correctly.

  3. Button "Pay out tip" in the cash register closing: Fixed an issue where the button for paying out tips was not displayed in the cash register closing under certain conditions.

  4. Payment with gift cards in the webshop: Fixed an issue that prevented orders using a gift card payment method from being completed.

  5. Saving price and quantity changes for ingredients: Fixed an issue where changes to the price and quantity of ingredients were not saved correctly after adjustment.

  6. Partial refund also for canceled orders: Fixed an issue where partial refunds for canceled orders were not processed correctly. Partial refunds can now be made for canceled orders.

  7. Synchronization of card payments in SOT, POS and Kitchen manager: Fixed an issue where successful card payments were processed but not displayed correctly in the SOT, POS and Kitchen manager. After payment, the order status is now correctly synchronized and displayed in all areas.

  8. Spelling mistake in the cash report: A spelling mistake in the cash report, where the word "Total" was incorrectly spelled in German, has been corrected. The correct spelling is now used in all cash reports.

  9. Calculating voucher codes for pickup orders: Fixed an issue that caused coupon codes to not be calculated correctly for pickup orders in the app.

  10. Vehicle logs for older entries: Fixed an issue where older entries in the vehicle logs were no longer visible after switching to the last page. The logs are now consistently visible and accessible.

  11. Correction of emergency support information: The email address and times for emergency support in the Dutch instance have been corrected. The correct emergency support times and contact options are now displayed.

  12. Notifications in the POS 1.5 user interface: Fixed an issue in the POS 1.5 user interface where notifications were unreadable. Notifications are now displayed clearly and easily visible.

  13. Online payments in POS 1.5: An issue that prevented online payments from being selected in POS version 1.5 has been fixed. It is now possible to select online payments in POS version 1.5 as in version 1.0.

  14. Uber-Portals: Fixed an issue where activating or deactivating one Uber portal could accidentally affect another Uber portal. Multiple Uber portals can now be controlled independently of each other.
