Subscription
What With the subscription function, customers can purchase a subscription (e.g. monthly, annual) in the webshop and redeem it in the webshop, at the self-order terminal (SOT) or at the POS (cash register). Where Admin: Incentives > Voucher > Add voucher. Admin: Incentives > Subscriptions > Add subscription. Admin: Item > Item > Add item, or Edit. |
The subscription function enables customers to purchase a subscription in the webshop and redeem it at the webshop, self-order terminal or point of sale (POS). The focus is on seamless integration between the webshop, self-order terminal, and mobile applications.
User permission "Admin" is needed.
How to create a subscription
1. Create VIP voucher in the Admin
To create a subscription voucher, define the validity period and renewal settings. Choose the duration (e.g., months, years) and specify whether the subscription should renew automatically. Once configured, the voucher can be assigned to customers for seamless subscription management.
First create a VIP voucher:
1. Login into your Admin.
2. Go to Admin: Incentives > Voucher.
3. Create a new voucher with "Add voucher".
4. Add a title under "Description".
5. Add a description under "Description only internal use".
6. Select under "Type of coupon/voucher" the type of voucher you want e.g. fixed discount, free item, rebate for entire receipt. All voucher types are available as options.
7. Select the item or commodity group you wish to discount. As soon as the voucher type is selected, the corresponding items or commodity groups will be displayed.
8. Add the discount amount. The percentage field is displayed as soon as a voucher type with a percentage discount is selected.
9. Activate the "VIP voucher" and switch to "Yes".
10. Select under "Validity since activation" the validity of the voucher. The automatic renewal of the subscription will be based on this setting (example: months / 1 = automatic renewal every month).
11. Select the "Periodic validity". The VIP voucher can be redeemed x times within one day/week/month/year. If 0 is specified, the voucher can be redeemed an unlimited number of times.
12. Click on "Save".
2. Create subscription in the Admin
To create a subscription, you have to link your VIP voucher to your subscription within this step.
Create a subscription:
1. Login into your Admin.
2. Go to Admin: Incentives > Subscriptions.
3. Create a new subscription with "Add subscription".
4. Add under "Name" a name for the subscription.
5. Connect your VIP voucher by clicking on the field "Linked VIP vouchers" and selecting the previously created VIP voucher.
6. Click on "Save".
3. Create or edit item for the subscription
An item must be created for the subscription and linked to the subscription so that the item can later be purchased via the webshop. If an item has already been created, it can be selected at this point.
Create or edit an item:
1. Login into your Admin.
2. Go to Admin: Item > Item.
3. Create a new item with "Add item" (if the item already exists, select it here by clicking "Edit" next to the item).
4. Fill in all the required information under the tab "Item", such as item number, item name, etc. (if the item already exists, this step can be skipped).
5. Add a commodity group under the tab "Commodity groups" in which you want the item to appear (if the item already exists, another commodity group can be selected in this step, if needed).
6. Choose a price under the tab "Prices". Take note of the selected payment interval (e.g. monthly, yearly, etc.) you have chosen, so that the price is set accordingly (if the item already exists, check if the price is correct).
7. Add all additional information (stores, images etc.) under the tab "Stores" and "Images" (if the item already exists, the information can be adjusted in this step, if needed).
8. Navigate to the tab "Subscription".
9. Set the subscription to "Yes".
10. Select the subscription you want to link to the item.
11. Click on "Save".
This is where the creation process ends in the admin area.
How to use subscription purchase in the webshop
1. Subscription purchase process
The subscription purchase process provides customers with a method to explore, purchase, and activate subscriptions through the webshop.
Use cases: A customer logs into their webshop account, selects a monthly subscription, and completes the payment.
How to use the subscription purchase in the webshop:
1. Open your webshop.
2. Register or login to your account.
3. Buy the subscription item.
4. The subscription will be activated automatically.
5. Available Options: Customers can view various subscription models (e.g., monthly, yearly).
User Permissions: logged in.
2. Subscription management
A section in the customer account where users can view and manage their active subscription (e.g., renewal, cancellation).
Use cases: show, manage, renew or cancel subscriptions.
How to manage the subscription in the webshop:
1. Open your webshop.
2. Login to your account.
3. Navigate to your Profile > Subscriptions.
4. Available Options: renew, cancel subscriptions, payment intervall, show last invoice.
User Permissions: logged in and active subscription.
